Position: Event Coordinator job
About: Michaels, a retail store located in MPHS-POPLAR, TN, is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate various events, including kids’ birthday parties, to create stress-free and engaging experiences for guests. In addition to event coordination, this role involves providing friendly customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and ensuring efficient checkout experiences while maintaining store standards and fulfilling operational tasks.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in event coordination, customer service, or retail preferred; excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to engage with clients of all ages and adjust plans based on feedback; knowledge of craft activities and children’s events; physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, and move throughout the store; adherence to legal requirements of the job
