Position: Event Coordinator job
About: This position is for an Event Coordinator based in a hybrid work environment with mostly remote work and occasional travel to either Boston or NYC. The role is for a 12-month duration with a starting pay rate of $40-$44 per hour (W2 with benefits option). The responsibilities include program managing small conferences and events, collaborating with other program managers, tracking event budgets, assisting in on-site execution during busy seasons, handling program deliverables, and measuring ROI for all programs.
Requirements: Excel experience is crucial, needing an expert level for execution tasks such as invoicing and working with Excel pivots. Expertise in events and/or marketing, particularly within the financial services industry, is important. Experience with budgeting, invoicing, connecting with accounts payable, and creating PowerPoint presentations is required. The candidate should have experience interfacing and negotiating with internal and external groups at various levels. They must be able to multitask, prioritize, and balance multiple competing goals and projects, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and hold a Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of event marketing and/or marketing communications experience. Nice-to-have skills include CVENT and SalesForce experience.
