Position: Event Coordinator job
About: ASM – Tucson Convention Center located at 260 S. Church Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Event Coordinator to oversee all aspects of facility operations related to events. The ideal candidate will ensure that events run smoothly by coordinating with various departments and stakeholders to meet event requirements and provide excellent service to clients and guests.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred; Two (2) years related theatre/arena technical experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred; Knowledge of building operations, methods in setting up/tearing down events, technical stage aspects including electrics, audio, rigging, crewing, logistics, and safety requirements; Ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously, respond to inquiries, engage in crowd management, work independently, operate office equipment and MS Office, operate AutoCAD design software, solve problems, work under pressure, prioritize work, follow instructions, remain flexible, and work in a fast-paced environment; Availability to work long and irregular hours including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
