Position: Event and Program Assistant, Reynolda House and Reynolda Gardens
About: Reynolda is a historical estate located on 170 acres in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, consisting of Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Reynolda Gardens, and Reynolda Village Shops and Restaurants. The museum showcases a distinguished art collection within the original 1917 interiors of Katharine and R. J. Reynolds’ 34,000-square-foot home, offering a unique setting for American art chronology and featured exhibitions. The expansive Gardens provide a 134-acre outdoor horticultural sanctuary with formal gardens, nature trails, and a greenhouse open to the public year-round. Adjacent to the Reynolda Campus of Wake Forest University, the Village hosts a variety of boutiques, eateries, shops, and services.
Requirements: Associate’s degree and at least three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; ability to organize priorities; effective communication skills, both oral and written; ability to work as a team member, and independently; knowledge of set-up, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment in a museum environment; proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Office, Google suite, and other relevant software; ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures; ability to work a flexible schedule including after hours and/or weekends, as specified by supervisor; knowledge of basic alcoholic beverage service and storage, or ability to learn safe and appropriate practices quickly and effectively; must be able to meet the requirements of the University’s automobile insurance policy
