Position: Event and Consignment Sales Manager
About: The Mississippi Aquarium is looking for an Event & Sales Manager who will drive revenue through group sales, event management, and consignment ticket programs. This role involves managing and promoting events, enhancing the Aquarium’s online presence in terms of group offerings, and leading a small team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for event planning, sales, and customer service, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or related field; minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, sales, or related roles; proven track record in managing large-scale events and driving revenue; strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously; willingness to work holidays, weekends, and evenings; proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and event management software
