Position: Employee Benefits Customer Service Agent
About: The DeHayes Group, established in 1982 as a commercial property and casualty insurance agency in Northeast Indiana, has grown to become the largest locally owned insurance agency in the region. They offer a wide range of insurance services including commercial property and casualty, group benefits, personal lines, senior benefits, wellness, and financial services, representing over 40 insurance carriers and serving numerous businesses and households.
Requirements: Indiana Life & Health Insurance License required; Minimum of 3 years of insurance brokerage or equivalent experience; Extensive knowledge of all lines of Group Benefits, including sophisticated and less common coverages; Thorough knowledge of brokerage operations including claims handling, procedures, companies rating, agency management system, and applicable insurance laws/codes; Experience with Applied Epic or related agency management system, Applied Benefits Designer, and Employee Navigator; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management software, carrier proprietary systems, and phone systems; Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills; Keen attention to detail; Ability to multi-task; High degree of self-motivation and self-direction
