Position: EMERGENCY RESPONSE TECHNICIAN- CERMAK – PATIENT CARE SERVICES
About: Cook County Health’s Department of Corrections and Department of Community Supervision and Intervention is seeking a dedicated and skilled First Responder with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) skills to provide emergency medical care to detainees within the CCDOC/Criminal Courts Building Complex. The role involves evaluating, triaging, stabilizing patients, observing detainees’ health status, and collaborating with medical professionals for timely treatment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; at least 21 years of age; valid driver’s license and current CPR/ACLS certifications; licensed as an EMT-P in Illinois; two years of full-time work experience in emergency medical care; competency in Phlebotomy and Microsoft Excel; experience in sterilization procedures
