Position: DSOD Associate – Back House-Line cook
About: The company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sushi Chef to join their team in a high-volume, quality-driven sushi restaurant. The chef will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen while delivering visually appealing and innovative sushi presentations.
Requirements: Certified Food Handler; Proven experience as a Sushi Chef working in a high-volume, quality-driven sushi restaurant; In-depth knowledge of sushi techniques, Japanese cuisine, and traditional sushi ingredients; Strong creativity and ability to develop visually appealing sushi presentations; Excellent knife skills and expertise in fish and seafood preparation, handling, and cutting; Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations; Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and delivering consistent quality; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and interact with customers; Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required; Relevant certifications such as a sushi chef certificate or culinary degree are a plus; Valid California Driver License
