Position: Drinking Water Protection Section Manager – State Prog Admin Manager Prin
About: The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is seeking a Drinking Water Protection Section Manager to lead the Drinking Water Protection section within the Environmental Health Division. This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality of drinking water in Minnesota’s community and non-community water systems, directing statewide prevention and protection efforts to safeguard public health from waterborne diseases, injuries, or fatalities.
Requirements: Four years of professional experience leading a public health or environmental health program, including implementation and evaluation of programs and policy, oversight of budgets and administration of appropriate funds, and demonstrated leadership experience. Ability to apply effective critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Ability to present scientific and administrative concepts clearly, both orally and in writing to diversified audiences. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various leadership levels and engage with the general public.
