Position: Distribution Supervisor

Requirements: Six years or more of success as a Shipping Supervisor or Shipping Foreperson preferred; commitment to safety and proven record of safety success among employees under your supervision; good interpersonal skills; good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems such as PCDATA; knowledge of DOT regulations; previous experience in a union environment helpful; ability to work as a team member essential; ability to work independently under minimal supervision; exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability; ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimum direction; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, division and department heads, public/private sector contacts, and County Administration; ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; ability to effectively troubleshoot under stressful conditions
