Position: Distribution Engineering Manager

Requirements: Requires BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline and 6+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in a leadership role; OR MS Degree in Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in a leadership role. Relevant experience is either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company performing design engineering. Professional Engineer License in Hawaii or ability to obtain PE License in Hawaii within 6 months of hire. Knowledge of NESC Standards required. Experience with distribution design tools such as BOUD, Pole Foreman, Spida-Calc, O-Calc. Knowledge of Client (HEI) Standards preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required. Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills. Previous experience managing/supervising employees. Proficiency in Project Management for engineering design. Ability to work directly with Clients and Client’s Customers to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget. Willingness to perform both field and office work; ability to work in outdoor environments. Overnight travel may be required (10-20% travel). Ability to utilize personal vehicle.
