Position: Director, Upscale Brands Food & Beverage Operations
About: Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity for a Director, Upscale Food & Beverage in the Upscale Division. The Upscale team oversees the 8 brands in their Upscale Division and the 80,000 rooms across North America. This role leads Choice’s Food and Beverage function, offering an opportunity to shape culinary experiences, drive operational excellence, and innovate within a dynamic and customer-focused setting.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Hotel Management, Business Management, or a relevant field of study required; Minimum 10 years of experience preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry including extensive corporate level, multi-unit hotel operations management and sales support; Demonstrated financial acumen with significant past P&L responsibility; Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with all proprietary systems and industry related support technologies; Significant experience with oversight of branded, Upscale properties; Recent experience with a major management company or Brand Managed portfolio oversight role is strongly desired; Exceptional service orientation; Proactive approach; Self-motivated, organized, and able to balance multiple project support requests beyond ongoing portfolio support requirements; Proven leadership skills; Ability to work effectively as an independent contributor, and as a part of a collaborative team; Ability to convey and apply revenue management principles as well as essential practices; Excellent analytical and data management skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent training, consulting, presentation, and persuasion skills; Excellent time-management, attention to detail, and follow-up resulting in meeting deadlines and exceeding goals; Advanced use of Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
