Position: Director, Research and Faculty Development, IU Research

About: Indiana University Office for Research Development is seeking a dedicated Director of Research and Faculty Development to join their team. This position is a 12-month, full-time administrative appointment based in either Indianapolis or Bloomington. The director will be responsible for collaborating with campus leadership to enhance faculty skills in securing external funding, developing internal recognition awards, and managing internal funding programs across all IU campuses. Indiana University is renowned for its research endeavors, aiming to grow transformative research, innovation, and industry engagement as outlined in the IU 2030 Strategic Plan.

Requirements: A doctoral or terminal degree from an accredited institution; academic credentials necessary to be appointed as a faculty member at IU; strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; experience in faculty mentoring for research funding; extensive knowledge of internal funding programs and limited submissions at an R1 university; ability to lead diverse faculty research teams; prior experience in pursuing sponsored research; proven success in designing, managing, or administering funding programs and awards.
