Position: Director of Sales FairField Inn/TownePlace Suites in Las Cruces, NM
About: The Dual Director of Sales position at the Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites in Las Cruces, New Mexico involves directing, coordinating, training, and supervising Sales Managers, Catering Managers, and Sales/Catering Administrators in all sales-related activities to maximize revenue and improve the hotel’s market share.
Requirements: At least 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience; Marriott experience preferred; Supervisory experience required; Must have a driver’s license in the applicable state; Must be proficient in Windows (Outlook, Word, and Excel); Computer and Marriott programs within MGS such as MarRFP, MRDW, One Source, Salesforce, Agency 360+, CVENT/Lanyon, and TEAMS preferred; Long hours sometimes required; Effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests; Ability to prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines; Maintain confidentiality of information; High standards of personal appearance and grooming; Effective in handling and solving problems; Ability to understand and evaluate complex information; Perform other duties as requested by management; Full working knowledge of hotel operations and sales policies; Develop and maintain market awareness; Meet or exceed set goals; Operate within an established sales budget; Coordinate and communicate details for bookings; Develop and execute sales strategies; Participate in required meetings and trainings; Develop managerial competencies; Conduct sales meetings and evaluations; Use sales management systems effectively; Meet and greet onsite contacts; Participate in sales appointments and events; Respond to inquiries in a timely manner; Willingness to travel 50%; Work Location: In person
