Position: Director of Operations NJ
About: The Director of Operations will be responsible for all the production facilities’ manufacturing, processing, maintenance, and warehouse functions. The NJ location has about 200 employees in a union setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving both short-term and long-term production objectives while establishing strategic manufacturing plans to achieve corporate goals. They will assist in creating and adhering to operational and plant budgets. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) include Fill rate, plant cost reduction, yield, and direct labor. Additionally, the Director of Operations wil develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing plans and programs to support employee engagement, quality, safety, volume, and cost objectives. They must thrive as hands-on, detail-oriented leaders who actively hold themselves and others accountable while regularly implementing continuous improvement efforts to ensure value.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required; 10+ years of food/beverage manufacturing experience required, with 3+ years in fresh, short shelf-life manufacturing; 3 years of ground beef experience; 5 years of protein experience; familiarity with applicable government regulations, including but not limited to GMPs, HACCP, and USDA regulations
