Position: Director of Food & Beverage

About: Riggs Washington DC, located on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter in Washington, DC, resides in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. The hotel boasts 181 guest rooms with a playful nod to its legacy and is home to the European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs and Silver Lyan, a subterranean bar by the acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred); Proven experience as a Restaurant or Bar General Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel or upscale setting; Extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, premium wines, and spirits; Exceptional leadership and team management skills; Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience; ABRA or equivalent alcohol service certification; Department of Health and ServeSafe certification; Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software
