Position: Director of Facilities Management
About: Coppin State University, a Historically Black Institution and a member of the University System of Maryland, is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to oversee the operations of the Facilities Department responsible for maintaining and repairing the university’s 52-acre campus and facilities. This position reports to the Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree preferred; 10+ years of experience in building and grounds maintenance at a management level, with 5+ years of direct supervision experience; eligibility to obtain a Class C Maryland driver’s license; strong human relations, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze problems, make effective decisions, and prioritize tasks; familiarity with computerized systems/software for facilities management; ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; knowledge of best practices in the field; ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and departments
