About: Bethesda Health is a long-term care facility seeking a committed and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing staff and ensure compliance with nursing standards to promote optimal healthcare delivery. This role involves managing infection prevention programs, conducting staff meetings, and coordinating nursing activities to enhance care quality while playing a pivotal role in administrative decisions and staff development within the facility.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current RN license in the state of work; Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent preferred; 3-5 years recent nursing experience with demonstrated administrative and supervisory competency; 1 year of management experience preferred; Communication, organization, and planning skills required; Ability to manage diversity of activities in a stressful environment; Strong physical abilities for lifting, transferring residents, and manual dexterity; Visual acuity; Ability to perform necessary documentation
