Position: Dietitian
About: Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Clinical Dietitian-PRN to assess patients’ nutritional needs and provide care and education in areas such as diabetes and oncology. The role requires registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, an Oklahoma State Dietitian license, and expertise in evidence-based nutrition practices.
Requirements: Education: Completion of a program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics leading to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN); Basic knowledge of subspecialty areas including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology, etc.; Maintain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits annually. Experience: Preferred six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility. Licensure/Certification: Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State Dietitian license within the first 6 months of employment; Obtain a food handler’s permit from the Cleveland County Health department before hire (or within 1 week of hire). Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to make quick decisions regarding patient care prioritization; Recognize and address unsafe work conditions; Safely use chemicals and equipment for patients, visitors, and staff; Proficiency in assessing patient nutritional needs with various formulas.
