Position: Department Manager
About: National Gypsum Company, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is looking for a Department Manager to direct the activities of the department and ensure efficient operations at minimum cost. This position will report to the Production Manager and may involve some travel. The position is not eligible for hybrid work arrangements.
Requirements: College degree preferred or at least 3 years’ experience in a Production Supervisor (board plant) position; Knowledge of manufacturing safety programs and OSHA requirements; Excellent training and communication skills; Strong organizational skills to coordinate training sessions, raw material deliveries, and maintenance meetings; High level of energy and willingness to get involved with people and production problems; Strong leadership ability; Commitment to safety; Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%; Physical ability to access all plant areas; Ability to lift 50 lbs. required
