Position: Database Specialist 1/2/3 Flex (PCN 168015)
About: Join the Department of Health in Anchorage, Alaska, and be part of the Division of Public Health’s Data Modernization Initiatives team responsible for modernizing the department’s databases. The organization’s mission is to promote the health, well-being, and self-sufficiency of Alaskans.
Requirements: Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language with at least one year involving programming database applications in a wide area networked DBMS environment; or four years of work experience supporting and maintaining a wide area networked DBMS in a database administration environment including some programming experience in an internal database language. One year of database management systems experience for Database Specialist 1; Two years of experience for Database Specialist 2; Background investigation including fingerprinting may be required for some positions. Educational transcripts, professional references, and residency in Anchorage, Alaska are necessary.
