Position: Custodian, Reynolda House Museum of American Art
About: Reynolda is a museum, garden, and historic country estate located on 170 acres in Winston-Salem, N.C. It comprises Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Reynolda Gardens, and Reynolda Village Shops and Restaurants. The Museum showcases a renowned art collection in the original 1917 interiors of Katharine and R. J. Reynolds’s 34,000-square-foot home, offering a chronology of American art and featured exhibitions. The Gardens provide a 134-acre outdoor horticultural space with formal gardens, nature trails, and a greenhouse. Reynolda Village houses a mix of boutiques, restaurants, shops, and services. Affiliated with Wake Forest University, visitors can explore the estate using the free mobile app, Reynolda Revealed.
Requirements: High school graduate plus one year work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to prioritize cleaning issues as needed; ability to read and understand safety procedures; ability to read and follow cleaning instructions and schedules; basic knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning practices; basic knowledge of the Reynolda House Museum or ability to learn quickly; ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff; ability to communicate effectively in the English language; ability to work occasional evenings as required
