Position: Custodian
About: Building Services at WAM is seeking a Custodian to join their team in performing a variety of cleaning duties necessary for maintenance and operations of the Museum buildings. The Custodian will work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager in the Operations Division, ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors at WAM.
Requirements: General knowledge of maintenance procedures; Ability to lift up at least 50 lbs; Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 8 feet; Ability to climb/descend stairs; Ability to stand for extended periods of time; Ability to work under dirty or dusty conditions and/or outside in adverse weather; Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and the public; Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion initiatives. Education and Experience: Ability to read and basic math required; Up to one year in a similar position. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Hepatitis B Vaccination or Waiver; Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends) to provide coverage for the Museum’s many events running 7 days per week; Physical Exam.
