Position: CUSTODIAL WORKER – ON CALL -SHELTERS
About: The City of Portland’s Health and Human Services Department – Social Services Division is seeking Custodial Workers for their facilities, including the Public Health Division clinics, Homeless Services Center, Family Shelter, and staff offices. The role involves a variety of custodial tasks such as general cleaning, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, floor care, and light maintenance duties.
Requirements: Experience in custodial or maintenance work; ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions; working knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; ability to interact courteously with the public; physical strength and agility for the job; valid Maine Class C driver’s license; completion of a satisfactory criminal background check
