About: The Office of State Museum at Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Curator to join their team. The mission of the Office of State Museum is to collect, preserve, and present objects of art and artifacts that reflect Louisiana’s rich history, art, and culture for the community and visitors. The Curator will play a crucial role in supporting community programming and curatorial needs at the Louisiana State Museum site in Baton Rouge under the supervision of the Regional Museum Division Director.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in museum studies, a humanities field, historic preservation, or fine arts; OR a bachelor’s degree in forestry, wildlife or natural resource management, botany, biology, or ecology. Previous experience in a museum or historic sites program is a plus.
