Position: Correctional Officer
About: California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is hiring Correctional Officers throughout California to ensure public safety and facilitate the successful reintegration of individuals in their care back into society. Correctional Officers play a vital role in providing education, treatment, and rehabilitative programs in a safe environment.
Requirements: At least 20 years of age at the time of application and 21 years of age at the time of appointment to the Academy; Graduation from a U.S. high school, G.E.D. or equivalent from a U.S. accredited institution, or a California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) certificate is required; Be a citizen of the U.S. or legal permanent resident; Thorough background check with no felony convictions; Eligible to own/possess a firearm
