Position: Corporate Event Planner – Financial Services Events

About: TransUnion’s Event Marketing team builds and manages live and virtual experiences that positively showcase the brand, drive growth, and optimize return on investment. They create opportunities to foster customer relationships and acquire new leads by leveraging data and drive operational efficiency with end-to-end event execution. The Corporate Event Planner, Financial Services Events, supports business stakeholders in managing and executing advisory board meetings, proprietary forums, and third-party tradeshows.

Requirements: Minimum 5-7 years’ experience executing events, including both proprietary and third-party events; Build and manage end-to-end event execution including venue sourcing, contracting, event logistics (F&B, hotels, venues, transportation, branding), event production (staging, A/V), event attendee communications, registration/housing management, giveaways, signage; Be the strategic event expert and trusted partner to business stakeholders by recommending improvements, implementing industry best practices, suggesting innovative ideas and cost efficiencies; Manage cross-functional stakeholders, set clear expectations, and drive alignment on event strategy and delivery; Plan, forecast, and manage against a defined event budget, partner with finance and line of business stakeholders on budget reporting and reconciliation; Bachelor’s degree in event/hospitality management, marketing, communications, or a related field; Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams and managing agencies/vendors; Understand event technologies such as registration, mobile apps, and other event platforms or technologies (Cvent is a plus); Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, problem solve, manage multiple projects/events simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines; Strong people skills, willingness to accept and provide direction, ability to work independently while remaining a team player; Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
