Position: Coordinator, Marketing & Promotions
About: The Birmingham Barons, Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, bring rich baseball history to Regions Field. Known for developing stars and a dynamic game-day atmosphere, the Barons are a cornerstone of the Birmingham sports community. The Birmingham Barons are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), which was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field (or equivalent experience); 1-2 years of experience in marketing, promotions, email marketing, social media, or related fields, preferably in sports or entertainment; Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and basic knowledge of CRM systems; Strong content creation skills, including social media management, live event coverage, and digital marketing strategies; Experience with website management (e.g., WordPress, MLB Ballpark app) and a basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus; Ability to coordinate promotions and theme nights, including booking entertainment acts, managing budgets, and organizing event logistics; Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the baseball season.
