Position: Coordinator
About: The Epilepsy Coordinator provides clinical expertise and leadership within the interdisciplinary team responsible for the development, ongoing evaluation, and improvement of the Epilepsy Program. The primary responsibilities include working in collaboration with the Epilepsy Program physician leadership, assisting in care coordination of epilepsy patients, supporting improvement of clinical outcomes, providing program management, and serving as a role model and educator. To be successful in this role, the Epilepsy Coordinator must engage in continuing education, remain current on national quality standards, establish effective relationships with healthcare team members, and effectively manage time and projects with minimal supervision.
Requirements: Education: Academic degree in nursing (BSN or MSN/MN) required. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in the provision and coordination of care for epilepsy patients preferred. Skills: Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, multidisciplinary collaboration, problem-solving, data analysis, leading change, teaching, coaching, written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical information systems.
