Position: Cook- Wake Youth Detention Center
About: The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is committed to the reduction and prevention of juvenile delinquency by effectively intervening, educating, and treating youth to strengthen families and increase public safety. This position is located at Wake Juvenile Detention Center in Wake County, NC, and involves supporting the facility’s Child Nutrition Program to ensure compliance with regulations. Requirements: Education and/or experience in food preparation equivalent to one year in a commercial and/or institutional setting; must meet hiring and training standards established by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission; certifications in Serv Safe and experience in food inspection preferred
