Position: Cook – Temporary (Full-Time)
About: COVENANT HOUSE CALIFORNIA is looking for a dedicated Cook to provide nutritious and quality food for residents and staff. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive environment and ensuring excellent resident service within the organization.
Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and write English; at least 1 year experience in food preparation; food safety training or food handler’s card as required; must be able to read recipes and follow written instructions. Pass background checks and medical exams as required. SKILLS: Ability to follow recipes and prepare foods from scratch; lift 40 pounds and stand for up to 4 hours; respond verbally to the needs of staff or residents; carry out safety and emergency procedures; work well with others; communicate appropriately.
