Position: Cook – (TEMP) Part Time, Days – (Hollywood)
About: Under the direct supervision of the Food Services Director and /or the Dietary Supervisor, the Cook will prepare, season and cook therapeutic diets for patients and regular cuisine for employees and physicians. Observes hospital and department infection control policies and procedures and established standards for food handling. Maintains the cleanliness of department in a safe, sanitary, orderly manner in accordance with standard procedures of the department.
Requirements: One year as a cook in an acute care hospital; Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English; Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos; Ability to multitask and prioritize work; Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload; Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job; Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire date (Los Angeles City Employees only); High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bilingual skills
