Position: COOK (Per-Diem)
About: Responsible for ensuring meals meet required nutritional values of the four food groups, ordering necessary food and supplies, tracking food expiration dates, maintaining a clean kitchen area, and practicing sanitary food handling methods. Collaborates with students and staff on grocery lists and menus, posts weekly menus, provides alternative foods for students with allergies, attends school events, and promotes proper nutrition and hygiene. Participates in food preparation, dress code maintenance, and other assigned duties to support a positive environment and pro-social behaviors. Attends training sessions, staff meetings, and seminars as required. Role model for students, demonstrating integrity, respect, self-control, and dignity.
Requirements: New York State Driver’s License; High School Diploma and experience in food service; Ability to read and write English; Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license, and fingerprinting; SCIP class attendance for certification/re-certification and passing a test upon completion of course
