Position: Cook (Part-time)
About: Bowdoin College, located in Brunswick, Maine, is seeking a Cook (Part-time) to join their dining service team. With a student population of nearly 2000, Bowdoin College boasts top-notch dining facilities including a butcher shop, bakeshop, and organic garden supplying their dining halls and retail locations. The Cook will work under the supervision of the Head Chef and Assistant Chefs to assist in food preparation and production processes, including ingredient preparation, catering function set-ups, and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; demonstrated reliability and ability to work efficiently; ability to work independently within a team atmosphere; good personal hygiene practices; self-motivated with strong organizational skills; commitment to customer service; ability to multitask and follow directions; willingness to learn new tasks. Preferred: Culinary Degree and basic cooking technique understanding in catering or institutional settings.
