Position: Cook LLH
About: Riverside Health System, located in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing hot and cold menu items with proper portion control, ensuring food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are maintained to provide a memorable dining experience for patients, residents, guests, and customers in a safe work environment.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year of food preparation experience preferred in a high volume restaurant, hotel, or healthcare kitchen; Allergen Awareness Certification – VA State – ANSI-approved Allergen Awareness certificate program within 180 Days required; Food Handlers Card (FH) – VA State – ANSI-approved Food Handlers certificate program within 30 Days required; Food Protection Manager – VA State – ANSI-approved Food Protection Manager Certification – VA State required
