About: Meals on Wheels People, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals and combating social isolation among seniors, operates The Diner as a training facility and community dining experience. The Diner offers fresh, locally sourced comfort food for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, aiming to create a positive dining experience for all age groups.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods; Current Food Handlers card or ability to obtain one upon hire; Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire; Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation standards.
