About: The Nutrition Services Cook at Vancouver Public Schools (VPS) is responsible for reviewing the cycle menu and executing a comprehensive meal production process under the direction of the Kitchen Manager. This role involves meal preparation, service, and clean-up activities while adhering to Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures and ensuring excellent communication with the Kitchen Manager to assist with forecasting and meal planning considerations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Possession of a current Washington State Food Workers Card; Ability to operate a computer; Demonstrated successful quantity cooking experience; Ability to work effectively as a team member and leader, meet tight deadlines, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate attention to detail, and communicate effectively with staff and students.
