Position: Cook job
About: Horizon House, a non-profit organization providing community-based behavioral health, intellectually disabled, and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, is looking for a full-time Cook to join their team. Horizon House is known for its innovative approach to service delivery in a community setting, offering services to adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and homelessness at over 100 sites annually.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years experience in the food services industry preparing large quantities of food in a cafeteria, restaurant, or institutional setting; knowledge of nutrition, portion control, and requisitioning; Serve Safe Certification; valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to work with homeless individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders; analytical and organizational skills
