About: Santa Monica Hospital cafeteria and kitchen is currently seeking a Cook to join their team. This position involves preparing a variety of meals for patients, staff, visitors, and special functions, ensuring high-quality food service at all times.
Requirements: ServSafe certification or equivalent safe food handling certification; experience cooking in a professional setting; experience utilizing a variety of professional kitchen and cooking equipment; ability to work in a standing position for a long period of time; ability to work in hot, cold, and/or wet areas; ability to push, pull, and lift 50+ lbs; ability to conform to dress code per sanitation policies; ability to use strong cleaning solutions; ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English; interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, and management; flexible work schedule and ability to adjust to workload
