About: Life Care is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve quality meals for patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. The company offers free sponsorship for the Dietary Manager Certification while employed full-time.
Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent; One (1) year experience in food preparation preferred; Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities; Make independent decisions when necessary; Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines in post-acute care facilities; Implement department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality; Follow company policies and procedures; Display integrity and professionalism; Prepare and serve appetizing meals appropriate for each patient; Knowledgeable of ordered diets and food consistency; Ensure availability of food and supplies for the next meal; Serve meals and snacks promptly; Utilize provided tools and recipes for meal preparation; Provide excellent customer service to patients; Assist in patient evacuation; Demonstrate regular attendance and good judgment; Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team; Perform physical tasks during working hours; Proficient in English language
