About: Holmes Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their Dietary department team in Lincoln, NE. As a Cook at the facility, you will be instrumental in preparing and serving nutritious meals for the residents, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines and special dietary needs in a clean and safe kitchen environment, ultimately contributing to the residents’ well-being and satisfaction in the skilled nursing facility.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or relevant degree preferred; proven experience as a cook, particularly in a healthcare or institutional setting; experience with special diets and dietary restrictions beneficial; ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong knowledge of food safety practices, ability to follow recipes accurately, organizational and time-management skills, effective interpersonal skills
