Position: Cook job
About: Cumberland County Jail, located in Portland, Maine, is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team and provide administrative and operational support in meal preparation and purchasing. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate of $23.43 and a comprehensive benefits package. The work schedule is from 3:30am to 11:30am, Tuesday through Saturday.
Requirements: High school education or equivalent; One year experience in institutional meal planning and preparation; Thorough understanding of safe food preparation and handling standards; Prior supervisory experience; ServSafe Certification; Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking practices; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Ability to follow oral and written instructions; Good organizational skills.
