Position: Cook job
About: Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters’ HOSP Food & Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook to prepare food in accordance with established standards and regulations, ensuring quality food service is always provided in a hospital setting. The Cook will also be responsible for various duties in food preparation, plating, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; prior professional cooking experience required; record of completion for all education, licenses, training, and/or certifications required at the time of hire; continuous re-certification and maintenance of state licensure, certification, educational, and application requirements during employment; knowledge and understanding of public health, safety, proper food handling, and sanitation standards and procedures; ability to follow printed recipes and plate specifications; ability to operate and maintain equipment for a commercial kitchen; ability to work varying shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; highly motivated, enthusiastic team player with strong organizational and time management skills; excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal communication abilities
