Requirements: Ability to work with little or no supervision; Ability to prepare and serve a wide range of foods skillfully; Ability to guide and instruct others in food preparation and serving; Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stress; Ability to relate well with other employees and residents; Neat, clean, and works safely; Ability to read, write, and speak English; Maintains acceptable attendance record; Free of non-treated communicable diseases; Ability to spend long periods on feet; Abides by established policies and procedures; Respect for resident’s rights and facility philosophy; Organizational and time management skills; Working knowledge of health and safety regulations in food preparation; Demonstrated skill in food preparation; Experience with elderly dietary needs; Previous experience in a similar role in a long-term care facility or related environment
