Position: Cook job
About: University Hospital is seeking a Cook to prepare quality food for Patient and Retail Services in a timely and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED Certificate, ability to read, write, speak and understand English, knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures, and at least one year of high volume food production experience in the healthcare/hospitality industry.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED certificate required; Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures; Minimum of one year of high volume food production experience in the healthcare/hospitality industry; National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Protection Certification required, or must obtain within first 6 to 12 months of employment; Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
