Position: Cook job
About: As a Cook, you will impact the lives of residents through all phases of food preparation (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner) that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. Responsible for serving food to clients as required.
Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred; Minimum 1 year prior related experience required; Knowledge of food preparation, ingredients, recipes, and equipment used for dining facilities serving a minimum of 25 individuals; Ability to communicate verbally in English with residents, families, visitors, co-workers; Ability to safely utilize food service and preparation equipment; Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle with appropriate state license; Proficient working knowledge and ability to operate computer related tasks with specific equipment and software applications; Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently; Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
