About: The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters is looking for a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their HOSP Food & Nutrition Services team. The role involves preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and maintaining cleanliness in a healthcare kitchen environment. The Cook will work in a noisy and sometimes hazardous kitchen setting, ensuring food safety and service standards are met at all times.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior professional cooking experience required; continuous re-certification and maintenance of state licensure, certification, and educational requirements during employment; knowledge of public health, safety, and proper food handling standards; ability to work varying shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; increased security clearance required for specific job roles.
