Position: Cook I, FT Days
About: PIH Health, a nonprofit regional healthcare network serving approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley region, is looking for a Cook I to work in various capacities such as cafeteria grill cook, cafeteria deli bar cook, cooks’ helper, or cold production/pantry cook. This position involves preparing, cooking, and panning food, including vegetables, starches, soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as providing outstanding customer service and assisting senior cooks as needed. Requirements: High school diploma preferred; culinary training beneficial; ability to read, write, and speak English; at least six (6) months of experience as a Grill Cook or Prep Cook; proficiency in preparing a variety of foods, using institutional food production equipment, following standardized recipes, and processing orders quickly and accurately; outstanding customer service skills
