Position: Cook – Franchise
About: This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee of Denny’s. At Denny’s, the focus is on feeding people with a passion for food and serving others. They offer full-time and part-time positions with competitive wages starting at $15.00 up to $17.50 depending on experience, with night shift differential pay.
Requirements: Essential skills: Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items; Collaborate with Management to prepare meals during dining hours; Maintain accurate food inventories; Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures; Rotate stock items as per established procedures; Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts; Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of the shift. Cook qualifications and skills: At least 1-year experience as a Cook in a family-style restaurant industry; Able to read and follow standardized recipes; Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures; Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere; ServeSafe or Food Handler Certification preferred but not required.
