About: The role involves quality food production for patients and cafeteria meals in a hospital setting. The position requires adherence to standardized recipes, ensuring food items are attractively prepared and presented, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Participation in cost containment and attendance at meetings and training sessions are also key responsibilities.
Requirements: – High school education or equivalent is preferred; – Minimum of two years of hotel, restaurant, or hospital cooking experience required with knowledge of all aspects of food preparation; – Ability to interpret and follow recipes; – Positive attitude; – Dependable; – Good organizational skills; – Self-directed; – Ability to speak and read English; – Ability to take Food Service Sanitation exam within 3 months of hire date.
